Austin EcoSchool employs five full- and part-time teachers who bring an enormous breadth of talent and expertise—as well as joy—to their work with the children and the community. Teaching at EcoSchool is serious fun, a collaborative enterprise which energetically models for students the fundamental loving, cooperative, creative values on which the school was founded.
Active involvement of families is greatly valued and encouraged; in fact, it is central to EcoSchool. Each student’s academic goals are designed together by teachers, parents, and child to ensure the individual needs of every student are met. Families assist with field trips, play yard supervision, library and website maintenance, and in other essential ways. Parents also serve on the Board of Directors, organize or volunteer at fundraising events, and more … wherever they feel drawn by their own unique gifts, abilities, and enthusiasm.
This summer, we will be offering a wide range of camps, both full-day and half-day camps. Painting, singing, robotics, dancing… and even some learning. More info on the Camps page.
